Its evident that Sam Hinkie keeps it close to the vest.

We haven't heard from him much, not at all since he took the job last fall. It could be because he's always working the phones, looking for his next asset.

Hinkie acquired those assets yesterday in multiple trade deadline deals while shipping off three players who obviously didnt fit into their long term plans. Now only three Sixers remain from last years team--Thaddeus Young, Arnett Moultrie and Jason Richardson. Only Young remains from the last playoff appearance years ago.

Expiring contracts, second round picks and cap space are all apart of Hinkie's rebuilding plan that will feature, more likely than not, two lottery picks in the 2014 NFL Draft.

"We'll have a whole set of opportunities in June," Hinkie told the assembled media.

The opportunities in June will feature multiple draft picks and cap room flexibility like we've never seen before. Andrew Wiggins and Jabari Parker look to be surefire top-3 picks and the Sixers should be in that range after the draft lottery.
