When the Phillies traded fan-favorite Shane Victorino to the Boston Red Sox some years back, he took that news pretty hard.

He took the news even harder this week after he was traded again. The Boston Red Sox traded Victorino to the Angels this week in exchange for infielder Josh Rutledge.

The Red Sox also received cash considerations in the trade.

Much like he was for the Phillies, Victorino quickly became a darling in Boston, including his heroic performance for the Red Sox in the 2013 World Series Championship.

Victorino has been on and off the disabled list since that performance two years ago, but still believes he has something left to offer.

Victorino, 34, gave a very emotional farewell press conference to the Boston media on Monday and cried "tears of joy," according to the center fielder.

Pretty great stuff from a guy who is going from the last place Red Sox to the first place Angels. Oh, Mike Trout and Albert Pujols arent too bad of teammates.

He also announced that he's retiring his walk up music of Bob Marley's "Three Little Birds" in respect to Red Sox Nation.
