Shane Victorino told reporters  that locking him up would require a five-year contract.

Interesting after Victorino told Jayson Stark of ESPN.com that he would be willing to give up testing free agency in order to sign a long-term contract with the Phillies.

Victorino said:  "I’d like five years, yeah," said the 31-year-old outfielder. "Why wouldn’t I? I signed for three. Why wouldn’t I want the next one to be longer? My agents say I can get a five-year deal on the market. Why not trust them?

For the record, I think five-years is to long what do you think?
