The Philadelphia 76ers have signed Ronald Roberts Jr. from their D-League affiliate, the Delaware 87ers, a source with knowledge of the situation has confirmed with LibertyBallers. In order to make room for Roberts Jr. on the roster the Sixers released Jorge Gutierrez, who they just acquired Thursday in a trade with the Brooklyn Nets. Gutierrez's contract was not guaranteed.

Ronald Roberts Jr., who played 4 years at St. Joseph's University, averaged 14.4 points and 7.4 rebounds per game in his senior season. He then went undrafted in the 2014 NBA draft before receiving an invitation to play for the Sixers in the Orlando Summer League, where he averaged 10.2 points and 7.4 rebounds in 23 minutes per night.
