Eagles Defensive Line

Started the show today talking about the Eagles defensive line and their outlook for this year.  After Jason Babin had a team-leading 18 sacks last year, the Eagles got better and deeper with the drafting of Fletcher Cox and Vinny Curry.  The Eagles are dealing with some injuries already this year including the aforementioned Babin and Mike Patterson, who is on the NFI list.

Bovada Odds

The Bovada gambling website released their odds for different awards and achievements for the 2012 NFL Season.  One thing that stands out is DeSean Jackson being so low on total yards at 35/1.  Or is it?  In terms of yardage, DeSean Jackson has a career high of 1,156 yards in 2009. Defensive Rookie of the Year odds have two Eagles on the list, which ones are they? Mike Gill and our Eagles Insider Ryan Messick discuss below:

Marc Jackson

CSN Philly Sixers analyst Marc Jackson called in and talked about the acquisition of Andrew Bynum and Jason Richardson.  Jackson calls for Sixers President Rod Thorn to win NBA Executive of the Year with not just the additions of Andrew Bynum and Jason Richardson, but with Dorell Wright, Nick Young, and Kwame Brown. Yes, Jackson loves the toughness and rebounding of Kwame Brown who will serve a much needed role on this team.  Jackson also said one Sixers player will benefit tremendously with Bynum:

Chad Johnson gets a divorce

Not really important news, but comical news came out around 4 p.m. where TMZ is reporting that Evelyn Lozada has filed for divorce from Chad Johnson citing her relationship is “irretrievably broken.” Just a week ago Johnson was the star of Hard Knocks on HBO and perhaps the Dolphins No. 1 WR.

Eagles release second depth chart

The Eagles released their second depth chart of training camp in advance of their second preseason game on Monday against the New England Patriots.  For the first time, King Dunlap is the starter at LT ahead of Demetress Bell, while S Jaiquan Jarrett remains as a second string reserve.  Mike and Ryan break down the Eagles depth chart, as the offense remains the same.

CBS Sports Clark Judge called Mike Gill at 5:30 today and talked about the Eagles outlook this season and the story he wrote on Eagles WR DeSean Jackson.
