The month of March is a pivotal stretch of games for the Sixers if they want to stay out of the Play-In Round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs.  With 13 games left in March, only two teams on their schedule are not playoff teams.  Playing without the reigning Joel Embiid for at least a few more weeks, the Sixers have their work cut out for them.

While Joel Embiid has returned to practice, there isn’t a definitive timetable for his return.  Tobias Harris hasn’t been the player we need him to be in Embiid’s absence and without Tyrese Maxey, due to a concussion, the Sixers need to find a way to win against their next three opponents.  Friday Night they host the New Orleans Pelicans before back-to-back games against the New York Knicks on Sunday and Tuesday night.

The Flyers surprisingly won on the road against one of the best teams in hockey Thursday Night.  Due to injuries and players moving ahead of the NHL Trade Deadline, this Flyers is short-handed but continues to play inspiring hockey.  They play hard, they are getting great goaltending from their rookie sensation Samuel Ersson, and you could argue that John Tortorella should be the NHL Coach of The Year!

The Phillies gave Zack Wheeler a contract extension earlier this week and now have their top starting pitcher locked up for the next three years.  Plus, Aaron Nola signed a seven-year contract during the offseason.  The Phillies return a team that has electrified their fans the last two Octobers but have failed to win the World Series.  Find out why this year will be different this weekend in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim!
