The Philadelphia Sixers announced that Wilson Chandler will not play on Saturday vs. Charlotte.

Chandler has been out since aggravating his hamstring back on September 28 in the preseason, and was supposed to miss 2-3 weeks. He had an MRI on September 29 that confirmed the diagnosis of a strained hamstring.

He was reportedly targeting this game to make his Sixers debut, but that won't be the case.  However, Sixers coach Brett Brown still sounded excited about the getting Chandler back, after getting Mike Muscala back last week. he did express optimism when asked about the injury.

“I look forward to bring in two adults back into the team,” Brown said. “Wilson and Mike are men, that have been in the league for awhile and we look forward to bringing that toughness, that length, that defensive spirit back into the team.”

The Sixers play Saturday, and then have back-to-backs on Monday and Tuesday.
