Sources: Sixers ‘Serious Suitors’ for Harrison Barnes

The 76ers reportedly plan to be "serious suitors" for Harrison Barnes during free agency reports ESPN’s Marc Stein.

Barnes might be one of the most interesting names to watch in this year's free agent class, the 24-year old is entering the prime years of his career, and does something the Sixers are in clear need of - shoot.

But are the Sixers willing to pay Barnes somewhere north of $20 million a year despite his play in the most recent NBA playoffs where he struggled and was inconsistent with his shot to the tune of just 9.3 points on 35.2 percent shooting in seven games vs. the Cavs in the NBA Finals.

He didn't hit a single shot in Game 6 and is a combined 2-of-22 from the field in Game 4 and 5.

Keep in mind, Barnes turned down a after passing on a four-year, $64 million extension last summer, so he is looking to break the bank.

So should the Sixers break the bank to get him?

The forward is athletic, can guard many different style of players in the league, he can shoot the three-pointer and take the ball to the basket.

Barnes said that he would like to re-sign with the Warriors as a restricted free agent this summer, but what happens with Kevin Durant could have a big effect on what ends up happening with Barnes.

So does his skill-set fit in with what the Sixers need?
