The Phillies disappoint again, opening up a huge series against the Braves with a 9-2 loss. With plenty of runners in scoring position early, the Phils failed to knock anyone across home plate. Jake Arrieta was solid until the fifth inning where he allowed multiple runs score and the lead grew to five. Bryce Harper recorded an RBI in the bottom half of the fifth and JT Realmuto grounded out with bases loaded, ending the threat. The biggest takeaway from the game was when Gabe Kapler electing to keep Cole Irvin in to hit with men in scoring position in the sixth inning. Gabe gave up on the game at that point and it is truly disgusting.
