Former Eagles and Steelers OL Barrett Brook on for a Monday appearance talking about the Eagles win over the Giants yesterday. Brooks cautioned us to not drink the cool aid because without Vick the Eagles won't be 'competitive.' Brooks also said that Chip Kelly is still going through growing pains and Kelly is still learning on the job. Follow Barrett Brooks on Twitter.

The newest head coach of the Flyers called in to talk about being hired by Ed Snider and Paul Holmgren this morning after Peter Laviolette was fired this morning. The three held a very testy press conference introducing Berube as the head coach with media members asking questions about a possible 'culture change.' Berube told Mike and Todd that's a big misconception, about a culture change needed to be made. Berube is also still tinkering with lines and defense.

Former player and current TSN hockey analyst Ray Ferraro called in with his take on the Peter Laviolette firing, something that happened just 3 games into a 82-game season. It's the quickest head coach firing in NHL history and Ferraro said that he doesn't think that it was Peter Laviolette's fault, rather the roster is overrated and getting to the playoffs is the first step. Ferraro also comments on the failed signing of Ilya Bryzgalov and also the deal for Mark Streit, who had the worst +/- in the NHL the last 2 seasons.

It's a Monday edition of top tweets!

Talked with Eagles head coach Chip Kelly today, the day after the Eagles victory over the Giants. The team is now tied for first place and face an 0-4 Bucs team next weekend. McLane suggested that the Mike Vick injury is serious enough to keep him out of next week's game vs. Tampa and perhaps the following week when they host Dallas. McLane also said that the offense runs better with Mike Vick as the starter especially in the rushing attack. It is still a small sample size with Nick Foles, however. Follow McLane on Twitter.

2. The Eagles are off to a 2-3 start, predict their final record.

3. Which current Philadelphia coach will last the longest?

4. What is the biggest mistake the Flyers have made since going to the Stanley Cup Finals?

5. Day 7 of the government shutdown. Lots of polling to assign blame, so I thought I’d poll you. Who’s leadership do you have more confidence in? Our political leaders as a country, or the Flyers executives?
