Sal Pal

This is why Spring Training is great. ESPN NFL reporter Sal Paolantonio was in town taking in some Phillies Spring Training and we were able to coordinate him stopping by our tent to talk Eagles. Of course we were there covering baseball, but Roger Goodell wants the NFL to be a 12-month sport so we'll oblige. Sal Pal talked with Mike and Todd about the Eagles decision to bring back Mike Vick and what he thinks the team will do in the draft.

Orel Hershiser and John Kruk

This was a great segment. The Tuesday that the Phillies played the Yankees ESPN was at the stadium broadcasting the game. The PR people a ESPN were so accommodating we were able to arrange former Phillies 1B John Kruk and NJ native Orel Hershiser to stop by our set and give us two segments. Kruk and Hershiser are polar opposites! Kruk and Hershiser give Mike and Todd their picks for the NL East and MLB and also tell the guys what the Phillies will need to have happen this season in order to compete. Kruk is drinking a Coors Light oh by the way!

Fred Ex

Again, this is the best part of Spring Traning and it's my finest hour as well! Late in the show around 5 p.m. I got word that former Eagles WR Freddie Mitchell was at the TIki Bar hanging out sipping a few cocktails. Upon hearing this I approached Freddie and asked him if he'd come on our set for a quick 10 minutes and talk some football. He agreed and it was a great segment to end out time in Clearwater. This was a sheer coincidence too because during a previous segment of #askmikeandtodd Mike Gill said he'd like to have a beer with a player that was in the 2004 Super Bowl huddle when Donovan McNabb "threw up." Freddie Mitchell was in that huddle.
