Anaheim Angels star and Millville native Mike Trout called in to “The Sportsbash” today from Angels Spring Training in Arizona. Trout spent a few minutes talking with Mike Gill about his rise to stardom and what his summer off season was like. Trout also talks with Mike Gill about the Josh Hamilton signing and about how he put on some extra pounds before camp opened. Follow Trout on Twitter.

Our Flyers Insider called in to talk about last night’s Flyers win over the Capitals where Simon Gagne scored in his first game back with the Flyers. Isaac said that Gagne will fill in nicely with the absence of Matt Read and Ty McGinn. The Flyers will hope to get more defense out of Gagne first and foremost with the Max Talbot line he was placed on. Talks Eagles here with Mike Gill. Caplan said that Howie Roseman and Andy Reid talk a lot, but Reid wasnt going give up too much for Nick Foles in a trade. Caplan said that this season’s draft is deep, but it’s not deep with ‘blue chip’ prospects and you may see some teams trying to get out of the top-10. Phillies reliever vying for a bull pen position this season called in to talk about his camp thus far down in Clearwater. Diekman knows that there are a lot of guys and not many spots available and as long he goes out there and does his job, it’ll be up to the coaches. Diekman also said that this season carries a different feeling with the return of Chase Utley and Ryan Howard.
