Steve Mason is healthy enough to serve as Philadelphia's backup goaltender to Ray Emery tonight against the Rangers in game three.

"I think even if I was ready there's no reason to take him out right now," Mason said.

The feeling was that Mason would not dress, but just hours before the game, the Flyers announced that Mason would in fact dress for the game tonight.

Mason was unable to finish practice on Saturday and last played on April 12 when he faced the Penguins but was pulled in the middle of the game with the upper body injury.

The question now will be who starts on Friday?
