The Philadelphia 76ers will play two preseason games at neutral locations in October.

According to ESPN New York, the Sixers and New York Knicks will play a preseason game on October 22nd, at the Carrier Dome on the Syracuse University campus.

The game was later confirmed on the New York Knicks website.

In August, the Sixers announced a game between the Brooklyn Nets at historic Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on October 13th.

It's not the first time the Carrier Dome has hosted an NBA exhibition game, two years ago the Minnesota Timberwolves and Detroit Pistons played a preseason game there. In that game alumni Wes Johnson, Jonny Flynn and Jason Hart returned to the university.

Carmelo Anthony will be the only player from the two teams returning to the campus next month, he had a famed freshman season winning the 2003 NCAA National Championship.

The Sixers will open their regular season schedule on October 31st against the Denver Nuggets.
