The Philadelphia Eagles are out to their first 4-1 start since 2014 thanks to a dominating 34-7 victory over the Arizona Cardinals. The Eagles have now scored 20 or more points in nine consecutive games dating back to last season. That is tied for the most since 2016 with the Atlanta Falcons.
The Eagles got off to a quick start and a 13-0 lead, but the Chargers kept clawing back and nearly took the lead away. LeGarrette Blount powered his way to his first 100-yard rushing performance as an Eagle and the birds knocked off the Chargers 26-24.
In Sunday's Eagles win over the Giants, Philadelphia as a team rushed for 193 Yards on 39 Carries. That is the most Rushing Yards Allowed by the New York Giants defense since December 27, 2015 and a major catalyst in the Eagles rushing attack was LeGarrette Blount.
It took a franchise record field goal by Jake Elliott as time expired, but the Eagles improved to 2-1 due to a dramatic finish at Lincoln Financial Field. The Eagles blew a 14-0 lead and had to come from behind to ultimately win the game.
