A look at some of the things on the Flyers offseason agenda, areas they will look to address, the signings they have to make and some potential trade targets, trade options within the current roster, and free agents that could end up on their radar.

According to a report, forward Mikhail Vorobyev intends to sign with HC Ufa Salavat Yulaev of the KHL in Russia, his home country, on a three-year deal that will cut ties with the Flyers.

The Flyers announced that defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere will have arthroscopic surgery on his left knee and miss approximately three weeks. In addition, they called up forward David Kase from the Phantoms and sent down forward Mikhail Vorobyev.

Kevin Hayes scored on a shorthanded breakaway to give the Flyers a 3-2 lead that they would hold through the remainder of the game, snapping a four-game losing streak on Wednesday night at Wells Fargo Center with a win against the NHL's top team, the Washington Capitals.

The Flyers took full advantage of a team without their top player and captain. In the first period, they scored three goals in a span of 4:01. In the second period, they added three more in a span of 4:07. That was more than enough in a 6-1 win on Thursday night that continued the team’s incredible run of success on home ice.

The Flyers were the beneficiaries of three goals off Sabres and scored three more on top of that, rolling to a 6-1 win over the Sabres on Thursday night at Wells Fargo Center.

Defenseman Phil Myers and forwards German Rubtsov and Carsen Twarynski were called up from Lehigh Valley. Forward Mikhail Vorobyev was sent down. Defenseman Sam Morin was sent to the Phantoms on a conditioning assignment. 

In two straight games, the Flyers have not been close to competitive and played atrocious defense, certainly alarming signs with more divisional games still to come.

A four-goal second matched the production from the previous two games for the Flyers, ironically in a period that Alain Vigneault called the team's worst of the last eight. Observations from the Flyers win over the Golden Knights.

Joel Farabee was called up by the Flyers on Sunday along with forward Mikhail Vorobyev, while forward Carsen Twarynski was sent down to the Phantoms. Farabee's NHL debut will likely come on Monday night when the Flyers host the Vegas Golden Knights.
