The Philadelphia Eagles have added a veteran quarterback to give Nate Sudfeld and fifth-round Clayton Thorson some competition for the backup quarterback position.

More importantly, they were trying to find any kind of rhythm with their first-team offense which has lacked any kind of momentum through two preseason games thus far. There remains an APB out to try and locate anything that looks like an offense from the guys in green.
The way Nate Sudfeld has preformed so far, should make you feel much better in the event that Carson Wentz isn't ready for the season, or to trade Nick Foles.
