On Friday ESPN's Marc Stein and Chad Ford reported the Sixers are exploring their options to trade Jahlil Okafor and Nerlens Noel in order to gauge the trade market and see their value in the interest of trading at least one of them in the weeks leading up to the 2016 NBA Draft on June 23rd...

So the Sixers ended up with the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, and now the debate has begun - LSU's Ben Simmons or Duke's Brandon Ingram?

The combination of the Sixers getting the number one overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft with Bryan Colangelo being in charge of the Front Office, many have framed this as a "New Era" in Philadelphia.  Even 76ers Head Coach has labeled Colangelo as someone who is taking the organization in a "New Direction" after the Sam Hinkie "Trust The Process" Rebuild...

The Philadelphia 76ers were awarded the first overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft

Tuesday, May 17th is a big day in the history of the Philadelphia 76ers franchise.

June 23rd will be a busy day for the Philadelphia 76ers and new GM Bryan Colangelo.

The 2016 NBA Draft Lottery is May 17th and Sixers Head Coach Brett Brown will be the team representative during the selection.  The 76ers have the highest odds of getting the Number One Overall Pick in the 2016 NBA Draft and they also have a chance to get the Lakers 1st Round Pick this year if that pick lands outside of the top three this year...

The expectations are that with new President of Basketball Operations Bryan Colangelo in charge of the Sixers Front Office, the team will be moving on from Sam Hinkie's "Process".

With the Sixers in danger of matching their own NBA record for worst win-loss record in league history, the question still remains is the team on the right track to build a contender sooner than later? Is there a light at the end of the tunnel for 76ers fans...
