Each and every year in South Jersey, Prime Events honors one graduating male and one graduating female student-athlete from the Cape-Atlantic League. It's called the SCHOPPY Awards, and this year, 97.3 ESPN has been given a vote.

Below are the 12 graduating, female finalists for the 2015 SCHOPPY Award. The list includes their name, high school, and where they're heading after they graduate. We've also included a few highlights of their Cape-Atlantic League careers.

Nine local high school football teams entered Friday night with hopes of winning playoff games. Only three of those teams survived into Saturday. Congratulations to Bridgeton and Buena, which join St. Joseph as the three remaining Cape-Atlantic League teams in the postseason (Hammonton still alive in the West Jersey Football League)...

For the 10th consecutive season, 97.3 ESPN is broadcasting the High School Football Game of the Week throughout the regular season and playoffs.

The 19th Annual 97.3 ESPN Girls Shootout will be played Jan. 25-26 at Holy Spirit High School in Absecon. This event started at Egg Harbor Township in February 1996 and features some of the top girls teams in the state of New Jersey.

High school basketball season is back and 97.3 ESPN will be along for the ride.  The past two seasons have brought us long dramatic runs to the state tournament and beyond.  Who will be some of the top teams in South Jersey this season...
