Julio Jones had a night.

The Atlanta Falcons wide receiver was just named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week after his performance against Byron Maxwell and the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football.

Jones had a Monday night to remember with a 9 catch, 141-yard, two touchdown performance that led his team to a 26-24 win over the highly publicized Eagles.

Whether it was scheme, talent, or technique the Eagles remade secondary could not contain the attack starring Jones.

That remade secondary starts with Maxwell.

The Legion of Boom alumnus joined the Eagles secondary with a $63 million contract and things did not get off to the best of starts with him and his secondary teammates, hopefully this is not a sign of things to come. Although the Eagles (and Maxwell) will be fortunate the first few weeks of the season with injuries to Dez Bryant and DeSean Jackson.

In other news which could upset Eagles fans even more is that Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week. The former Chip Kelly product debuted against his counterpart Jameis Winston on Sunday tallying 4 touchdowns and finishing the game with a perfect passer rating.
