Boardwalk Hall is in for a treat this weekend.

For the first time in it's existence, the famed venue will be hosting an Arena Football League game.

Former Eagles QB and ESPN personality Ron Jaworski and Saints wide receiver Marques Colston are bringing their Philadelphia Soul to town.

Being dubbed the Boardwalk Bowl, the Soul, 8-1, will be taking on the Las Vegas Outlaws.

The Outlaws are owned by Mötley Crüe vocalist and musician Vince Neil.

The Soul play their regular season home games in Philadelphia at the Wells Fargo Center, but it became automatic when Jaws and Colston were able to tour the historic arena off the boardwalk in Atlantic City.

"It's personal," Jaws said when asked why the Soul picked Boardwalk Hall as the venue for this special event on 97.3 ESPN FM.

Jaws first moved to the Philadelphia area from California during his Eagles career and quickly fell in love with South Jersey and continues to make it his home today owning multiple golf courses in the area.

Colston, a Pennsylvania native, has dabbled in the ownership of arena league teams in the past makes his home in Medford, NJ, his wife being a Pennsauken native.

"As I'm coming to the end of my career, I definitely saw an opportunity to transition to an industry I know very well in football and I joined a great organization in the Soul. I'm blessed," Colston said.

Also on the program was current Soul head coach Clint Dolezel.

Dolezel spent a year in the NFL before heading to the AFL winning a championship in 2001 and was soon inducted into the Arena Football Hall of Fame in 2012.

Dolezel has been the head coach of the Soul since 2013 and has boasted one of the top offenses in the AFL.

The famed Boardwalk Hall has hosted dozens of events over the years, but football is something it hasn't accommodated in years.

If there is a strong turnout, the Hall could see itself hosting multiple Soul games next season, according to Jaworski.

The Philadelphia Soul are 8-1 on the season and hope to be competing for their second championship in their short existence.
