Lou Williams was hot down the stretch and finished with 24 points against the Lakers on Monday, hitting 7-of-12 shots from the field (including three treys) with two rebounds, four assists, and a steal in the Sixers' 95-90 win over the Lakers on Monday.

In related news, Kobe Bryant became the NBA's 5th all-time leading scorer, but says he doesn't regret what he said in 2001 about the City of Philadelphia.

The Philadelphia Flyers have upgraded Daniel Briere's status from indefinite to "day-to-day."  Although there's still no indication of when Briere might return, he participate in contact drills on Friday.

According to Ken Rosenthal and Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com, the Reds remain in talks with free agent Roy Oswalt. Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com also reporting that the Yankees are in "serious discussions" with free agent Raul Ibanez.  Buster Olney of ESPN.com writes that the Yankees are "in position" to add Raul Ibanez, Johnny Damon or Hideki Matsui in the next week.
