Flyers

Claude Giroux, second in the league in scoring, was taken in the fourth round by by Team Daniel Alfredsson in the 2012 NHL All-Star Fantasy Draft while Kimmo Timonen was the first defenseman selected by Team Zdeno Char.  Scott Hartnell will replace the injured Jonathan Toews on the all-star roster was eventually selected by Team Alfredsson in the 17th round.

Sixers

Spencer Hawes could return "as early as this weekend and probably no later than early next week." Hawes is averaging 10.4 points, 8.8 rebounds and 1.7 blocks on 58.8 percent shooting.

Phillies

ESPN's Buster Olney reports that the Red Sox have a one-year offer out to Roy Oswalt for around $5 million.  Jim Salisbury of CSNPhilly.com reports that the Nationals signed RHP Brad Lidge to a one-year contract and the deal is worth $1 million and includes some incentives.

Eagles

Reports are that the Eagles are not expected to re-sign DE Juqua Parker.  Also many of the teams staff including Juan Castillo are in Mobile, Ala.,  for Senior Bowl practices.

College Football

Rutgers is looking for a new head football coach after Greg Schiano bolted for the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  Schiano was at the New Jersey school for 11 years and went 5-1 in bowl games during his tenure.
