Ventnor Native, Holy Spirit Grad Greg Roman to Coach in Super Bowl
The Sports Bash Mike Gill was joined by Ventnor native and Holy Spirit High School graduate Greg Roman. Roman is the San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator and will joined us live from the Super Bowl in New Orleans.
Roman, 40, is a 1990 graduate of Holy Spirit High School in Absecon, N.J., and played guard on the Spartans' team that that went undefeated in 1988. Roman, was Spirit's offensive coordinator in 2008 and joined the Stanford coaching staff in 2009 as the tight ends/offensive tackles/running game coordinator.
Roman spent 13 seasons in the NFL as an assistant with the Carolina Panthers, Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens. Roman was released with the entire Ravens staff after the 2007 season and the Ventnor native found his way back home.
Now he finds himself in New Orleans coaching for a chance to win a Super Bowl.
