Ocean City continues to rack up 97.3 ESPN's High School Athlete of the Week honors. Red Raiders cross country star, Brandon Hadtke is the latest win the award. Our congratulations go out to him.

This week, we have a new set of local student-athletes who shine on their respective fields. Each are now in the running to take home this week’s Athlete of the Week honors.

Ryquell Armstead, Football, Millville - The backup-turned starter set a CAL single-game record with 337 rushing yards in a 48-13 win against Absegami.

 

Tess Fisher, Tennis, Vineland - The freshman should have a bright future, she reached the semifinals of the NJSIAA state singles tournament in her first attempt.

 

Khalil Trotman, Football, Timber Creek - The senior quarterback had perhaps his best game as a high school football player, throwing for 433 yards and 3 touchdowns against Kingsway.

 

Devon Grisbaum, Cross Country, Ocean City - A frequent Athlete of the Week candidate, she was the first South Jersey runner to finish in the prestigious Manhattan Games. She also paced OCHS to a fourth straight conference title.

 

Salaam Horne, Football, St. Joe - The junior quarterback ran for 125 yards and 3 touchdowns as he carried the Wildcats to a come-from-behind victory in Steubenville, Ohio.

 

Jamir Prevard, Football, Atlantic City - The Vikings quarterback-slash-defensive back scored four times from both sides of the ball. He threw two, ran a third in himself and added a 101-yard interception return for his fourth score.
