Kennedy, a right-handed hurler who is committed to Division 1 Fordham University, tossed a two-hit shutout and struck out ten batters to lead the Vikings to an impressive upset win. He also hit three singles and collected three RBIs.

Andrea Olsen, Buena Regional: Olsen established a new school record in the 100-meter dash on Wednesday during Buena's track meet victory at Bridgeton. She completed the sprint in 11.9 seconds, eclipsing a seven-year-old record set by Brianne Wilson in 2005.
Colin Roche, Mainland Regional: The sophomore tied as the area's top finisher at the annual Garden State Cup, held Wednesday at Blue Heron Pines Golf Club. Roche shot an even-par 36 on the front nine and ultimately finished sixth in the 20-team event with a two-over-par 74 for day.
Melissa Williams, Egg Harbor Township: The senior lacrosse standout netted her 100th career goal in Tuesday's 14-10 victory over Our Lady of Mercy Academy. Williams entered the Cape-Atlantic League showdown two goals shy of the century mark before tallying a team-high seven scores.
