We have a new batch of local student-athletes this week who have proven themselves worthy in their respective fields.

John Triboletti, Football, Hammonton - The junior quarterback has caught fire recently, leading the Blue Devils to two straight wins. Triboletti tossed three touchdown passes in a 41-0 victory over Egg Harbor Township. It's the second consecutive week he's thrown for three scores.

 

C.J. LaFragola, Football, St. Joe - The junior fullback came through when the Wildcats needed him most. LaFragola led St. Joe to a 21-14 win over previously unbeaten Millville, rushing for 129 yards and two touchdowns. He scored the go-ahead touchdown with less than eight minutes remaining in the fourth quarter and kept that drive alive with a fourth-down conversion.

 

Summer Crilley, Soccer, Holy Spirit - The Spartans' multi-sport standout surged her squad past CAL rival St. Joe. She scored a pair of second-half goals in a 2-1 comeback win over the Wildcats and now has 12 scores this season.

 

John Chamberlain, Football, Williamstown - Chamberlain rallied the defending South Jersey champions against Cherokee in a crucial West Jersey Football League American Division showdown. The senior carried the ball 30 times, rushing for 157 yards and two touchdowns. He put the Braves ahead 13-10 with a fourth-and-goal touchdown run late in the fourth quarter.

 

Yamire McNeal, Football, Middle Township - The junior running back pounded Pleasantville's defense throughout a 35-13 victory. McNeal rushed for 197 yards and three touchdowns, leading Middle Township to its first win of the season. He also tossed a 32-yard touchdown pass.
