The winter sports season is in full swing all across South Jersey, and 97.3 ESPN is again your place to honor the finest on-the-field high school athletes in the region.

Here are a new batch of local student-athletes this week who have proven themselves worthy in their respective fields.

Vincent Davis, Basketball, Atlantic Christian - He scored 18 points in the Cougars' fourth win of the season. Davis helped lead the team to a 72-46 victory over Christian Academy.

 

Jaclyn Gehring, Swimming, Cape May Tech - She secured individual victories in the 200- freestyle and 400-meter freestyle during a 97-72 win over Our Lady of Mercy Academy.

 

Nolan Coyle, Swimming, Mainland - He prevailed in a pair of individual events, setting the school record in 100-freestyle competition. He also competed in a 400-freestyle relay win. Mainland won the meet 103-67 over Egg Harbor Township.

 

Tola Oguntuase, Basketball, Atlantic Christian - She tallied 11 points, 12 rebounds and three steals in a 34-31 win over Pilgrim Academy at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

 

Taylor Phy, Swimming, Oakcrest - She placed first in 100- and 200-freestyle action, while competing as part of a victorious 200-medley relay team. Her efforts helped Oakcrest claim a 103-67 win.
