Calvin Cass, Football, St. Augustine: The Calvin Cass Show rolled on in St. Augustine’s 48-6 victory over Vineland. The 5-foot-10, 205-pound running back scored six touchdowns (all before the fourth quarter) to lead the Hermits to a 3-0 start.Cass ranks first among South Jersey football players with 640 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns.

Cassie Mancella, Field Hockey, Oakcrest: She and the Falcons secured a stunning overtime victory against Egg Harbor Township. Mancella scored with less than a minute remaining in the extra session to give Oakcrest a 1-0 win over the Eagles, who entered the contest in first place in the American Conference Division I.

Tim Mason, Football, Egg Harbor Township: The Eagles kicker is affectionately known as “Thunderfoot” by EHT supporters. He lived up to the nickname against Hammonton. Mason drilled a 40-yard field goal with just seconds remaining in regulation to elevate the Eagles in the American Conference standings with a 31-28 victory over the Blue Devils.

Salman Khalid, Runner, Absegami: Khalid represented the Cape-Atlantic League well at the South Jersey Shootout, held at Gloucester County College. He finished third overall in the boys stud 5-kilometer race with a time of 16:38. That was the best finish among CAL competitors.

Robert Bunton, Football, Buena: He bullied Lower Cape May Regional’s defense throughout Buena’s National Conference clash with the Caper Tigers. Bunton churned up 193 yards on the ground and scored four touchdowns, leading the Braves to a 34-6 victory and a 3-0 record.
