Meanwhile, we have a new batch of local student-athletes this week who have proven themselves worthy in their respective fields.

Jordan Robertson, Basketball, Wildwood Catholic - The senior scored the final six points of a dramatic 58-54 victory over Holy Spirit in the Cape-Atlantic League semifinals. Robertson, who finished with 19 points, buried a game-winning three-pointer with 14 seconds left and capped off the contest with a breakaway dunk.

 

Lauryn Fields, Basketball, Middle Township - The senior scored a game-high 16 points in a convincing 51-37 win over Holy Spirit in the Cape-Atlantic League semifinal.

 

Billy Ward, Wrestling, Buena Regional - He claimed his fourth consecutive District 32 title. The 126-pound senior earned the tournament's Outstanding Wrestler honors for is efforts.

 

Olivia Rulon, Basketball, Wildwood Catholic - She came out firing in a CAL semifinal showdown against Cedar Creek. Rulon buried four three-pointers before the first quarter ended, scoring a game-high 20 points.

 

Tashad Reynolds, Basketball, Atlantic City - He converted seven free throw shots, included key attempts during the late stages of a 65-60 win over St. Augustine in the CAL semifinals. Reynolds scored 22 points.
