The Spring sports season is underway in South Jersey and we have a fresh batch of local student-athletes who have proven themselves worthy on their respective fields.

Carly Testa, Softball, St. Joe - The junior catcher connected on her 100th career hit during a 9-1 victory over Egg Harbor Township.

 

Misael Castillo, Baseball, Egg Harbor Township - He struck out 14 batters in his varsity debut, a no-hit performance in a 2-0 win over Holy Spirit.

 

Jordan Valian, Lacrosse, Egg Harbor Township - She scored the game-winning goal in a 15-14 overtime win against Absegami. It was her fourth goal of the contest.

 

Matt McCourt, Baseball, St. Augustine - He hit a pair of doubles and a single against Hammonton, collecting an RBI along the way. McCourt's efforts helped push the Hermits past Hammonton, 6-4.

 

Cassidy Gorgo, Softball, Millville - The Thunderbolts pitcher tossed a no-hitter against Holy Spirit, striking out 10 batters. She led Millville to a 14-0 win over Holy Spirit.
