Congratulations to Lower Cape May softball star, Ariel Magee for taking home last week's 97.3 ESPN High School Athlete of the Week award.

This week, we have a new set of local student-athletes who shine on their respective fields, and each is now in the running to take home this week’s Athlete of the Week award.

Abby Daigle, Lacrosse, Millville - The sophomore scored her 100th career goal in a seven-goal performance against CAL champion, Middle Township.

 

Kris Morgenweck, Baseball, St. Augustine - The junior scattered seven hits and struck out 10 in a 7-1 win over Mainland which dropped the highly-ranked Mustangs into a tie for first in the American Conference.

 

Logan Day, Softball, Oakcrest - The senior had six hits in two games, including the 100th of her career; she had a home run, three triples, and two singles.

 

Ryan Givens, Track and Field, Ocean City - The Lehigh University recruit won four events as the Raiders upset Middle Township to win the Cape May County Championship. Givens has won nine events in three years at the meet.

 

Allison Hunter, Lacrosse, Middle Township - The sophomore scored her 100th career goal and made her 100th career assist to help the Panthers remain unbeaten in CAL play.

 

Justin Skinner, Baseball, St. Augustine - The junior center fielder has become an international sensation after his amazing catch against Millville made SportsCenter's Top 10. WATCH THE CATCH HERE.
