Former NHL star Jeremy Roenick attempts to tackle a live alligator on a golf course ... 'cuz why not?

One-time Philadelphia Flyer Jeremy Roenick attempted to tackle a real alligator on a golf course in Florida… and of course it was caught on video.

What is the matter with this guy?

The video shows Roenick slowly creeping up behind the big gator.

He then pauses for a brief moment before diving with his arms stretched out wide in an attempt to tackle the gator.

Luckily for Roenick.... the gator took off into the nearby pond.
