PHILADELPHIA (973espn.com) - The Maxwell Football Club will be honoring Eagles coach Doug Pederson and injured quarterback Carson Wentz.

Pederson was named the Greasy Neale Professional Coach of the Year and Wentz the Bert Bell Professional Player of the Year Award by the MFC on Tuesday.

Pederson had led the Eagles to a 15-3 record and the NFC Championship as well as third Super Bowl appearance in franchise history. His 22-12 record (including playoffs) is the best performance by an Eagles coach through two seasons.

Also in his second NFL campaign, Wentz was having a spectacular season before going down with a torn ACL during Week 14. Despite missing the final three games Wentz set an Eagles franchise record for touchdown passes in a season with 33, exceeding the previous mark held by Sonny Jurgensen, who threw 32 over 14 games in 1961.

The 81st Maxwell Club National Awards Gala will be held at the Tropicana Casino Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Friday, March 9.
