On Tuesday the Philadelphia Eagles acquired Running Back Jay Ajayi from the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a Fourth Round Draft Pick.  Ajayi was a 2016 Pro Bowl selection who brings a combination of power and break away speed to an Eagles offense that is without Darren Sproles this season due to injury.  In 31 career games, Ajayi has Nine Rushing Touchdowns and an average 4.3 Yards Per Carry on 447 Rush Attempts.

Amani Toomer of NBC Sports Radio joined Mike Gill on Wednesday and talked about the impact of the Eagles acquiring Jay Ajayi:

“For the Eagles I love it – they are in a win now mode and that (trade) not only is good for how their offense can work better with two really quality running backs.  But now you have everybody in your locker room thinking ‘Oh my God, it’s not just us that’s really buying into this team, our front office is starting to really buy into us, we must be doing something really good.’  (Eagles are) the best team in the NFC and if I was in that locker room I’d be super excited right now thinking that my coaching staff, the whole organization is behind this particular team to do something that no Philadelphia Eagles team has ever done, that’s win a Super Bowl.”
