Before NHL play on Friday the Flyers are currently six points out of the final Wild Card spot with only nine games left in their season.  Having won three of their last six games, one of the contributors to the team's success has been Sean Couturier who has tallied two goals and five assists over that stretch.  Five times this season Coulturier has gone through stretches of four consecutive games or more without any points.

Flyers Radio Steve Coates joined The Sports Bash on Friday and talked about Sean Coulturier:

"With Couturier I think you got to boil it down to he’s a big man, in fact he’s the biggest player on the Philadelphia Flyers.  So if he’s going to be the big guy he has to play like the big guy and you got to be able to keep your feet moving, and that’s when he is at his best. He’s at his best when he’s skating, and you can see it last night and you can see on the other nights where he’s played very well.”
