Missouri All-American edge rusher Michael Sam told teammates earlier this season he is gay, and he will become the first openly gay NFL player later this year.

Sam apparently told his collegiate teammates in the summer of 2013 and they supported him, even keeping it a secret from the media.

NFLPA president Domonique Foxworth believes NFL players will accept  Sam "with open arms."

However, thats the the feeling universally.

The MMQB's Peter King spoke to one NFL General Manager who does not expect Missouri edge rusher Michael Sam to be drafted.

"We talked about it this week," the GM said of Sam's sexual orientation. "First of all, we don’t think he’s a very good player. The reality is he’s an overrated football player in our estimation. Second: He’s going to have expectations about where he should be drafted, and I think he’ll be disappointed."

So what will this do do Sam's draft stock?  We asked draft expert Scott Wright from www.draftcountdown.com today on the Sports bash.
