With Hue Jackson, Ben McAdoo and Adam Gase all hired during the 2016 coaching carousel, there is some thought around NFL circles that the Eagles, among others could follow the Giants lead and promote from within the organization.

The Eagles have interviewed a wide range of candidates, but none have stood out, they could just promote current interim head coach and offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur to the head coaching position.

The team appeared ready to hire McAdoo, but he returned to his current team in New York. They made a late call to Jackson, before he decided to sign with Cleveland and they first met with Gase, but he decided to run the Dolphins.

The Eagles aren’t planning any more head coaching interviews, according to Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com, who suggests the team will regroup and assess its options after this week’s owners meetings.
