With the NHL trade deadline just hours away (Monday, 3 p.m.) the Flyers have 19 games left and sit six points behind Boston in the eastern conference playoff chase.

After sending Kimmo Timonen to Chicago on Friday, should Flyers fans expect GM Ron Hextall to pull the trigger on another deal before 3pm Monday?

I think there is a good chance Hextall makes another deal, he has already shown the ability to pull the trigger the season.  While just about everyone other than Claude Giroux, Jake Voracek are available, a couple of names to watch as the deadline nears would be Luke and Brayden Schenn, Sean Couturier, Braydon Coburn, Mark Streit, and depending on his health Nicklas Grossmann.

One name the Flyers would love to move is Vinny Lecavalier, but don't count on it.  He has seven goals and 17 points in 45 games and has a contract that is pretty untradeable, he is still owed $10.5 million over the next three years with a $4.5 million salary cap hit. Lacavalier has never really been a good fit with the orange and black after Peter Laviolette was fired after three games last year.

If Hextall can make another deal similar to the one he make with Chicago for Timonen, he certainly should be making and taking plenty of phone calls.
