The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Saturday morning with a "significant amount" of snowfall expected to be here on Saturday morning.

With some mild temperatures this week, including a nice 42-degees as I write this, its hard to believe we could be getting a significant amount of snow, but that is exactly what is in the forecast.

National Weather Service Issues Winter Storm Watch

The winter weather advisory runs from Friday night at 10 p.m. until Saturday morning at 10 a.m. with 3-5 inches of snow accumulation expected to fall in the Atlantic County area. The advisory calls for a 96% chance of snow to fall through the overnight hours, which is expected to be heavy late on Friday night, before tapering off early Saturday morning.

For Cape May. Ocean and Cumberland Counties they are calling for a total snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches.

With this there could be some slippery road conditions, with the National Weather Service asking drivers to slow down and use caution when having to travel for any reason.
