With Eagles Interested, Giants Name Ben McAdoo Head Coach

It looks like you can cross Ben McAdoo's name of the Eagles head coaching list, the New York Daily News reports the Giants are "closing in on a deal" with McAdoo that would make him the team's next head coach.

Apparently, the Eagles were close to hiring McAdoo away from New York.

Two NFL sources told Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer that the Eagles were set to hire McAdoo. Could that have expedited the process for the Giants and pushed them to name McAdoo their next head coach?

FOX Sports' Mike Garafolo reports Steve Spagnuolo is expected to stay on as Giants defensive coordinator. Spagnuolo interviewed for the head coaching position with the Giants, with former Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin, serving as his offensive coordinator on the revamped Giants staff.
