The Sixers will be without Jimmy Butler tonight for their showdown with James Harden and the Houston Rockets.  Butler is out with what is being described as a slight sprain to his right wrist, no timetable was given on his return.

In his place, Brett Brown announced before the game that Corey Brewer will start him is place.  The 12-year veteran is currently on a 10-day contract that he signed seven says ago.

Giving him the start against a top offensive team in the league could be a way for Brown to evaluate him moving forward to see if he could fit in and find a role.  Coach Brown did mention that Brewer has fit right in and likes his ability to talk to the teams top stars, including Butler, Simmons and Embiid.

Brewer is a two-time NCAA champion and one-time NBA champion.

Brown said not only will Brewer draw the starting nod, he will also get the chore of defending James Harden tonight.

With Butler out, expect to see more minutes for Furkan Korkmaz and Landry Shamet.
