On Friday Doug Pederson announced that starting Cornerback Leodis McKelvin will miss his second straight game; this leaves the Eagles thin in the secondary facing the Pittsburgh Steelers' offense Sunday that is 4th in the NFL in Points Scored and 7th in Total Yards.  Filling in for McKelvin on Monday Night was Ron Brooks and Jalen Mills taking turns on the outside in coverage.

But Josh Paunil of Birds 27/7 at PhillyMag.com as a guest on The Sports Bash on Thursday says that Ron Brooks was actually the Eagles best CB facing off with Bears on Monday Night:

"Ron Brooks is the guy that, I think, he had the best game of all the Cornerbacks against Chicago.  Even against Alshon Jeffrey he was the most physical with him, disrupting that timing at the line of scrimmage.  Ron Brooks was a guy that, to be honest, when the Eagles signed him I wasn't really expecting much from him.  I thought maybe he just comes in and provides some of that veteran leadership and helps other guys learn the defense, kind of like a Chase Daniel role on the offensive side of the ball.  But with Leodis McKelvin out and Jalen Mills obviously showing some signs of promise but still a rookie who has to come a long way, but Ron Brooks is the guy that I was surprised about because I think he was the best player in Chicago among (Eagles) Cornerbacks."
