The 76ers are reportedly unwilling to buyout Jahlil Okafor as per his request, they will seek to trade him, the problem is they want to get an asset back in return for the former No. 3 overall pick per ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

Okafor stated earlier this week that he wants the Sixers to buy him out or to be traded as soon as possible after the team declined to pick up his option.

"I was fine with that," Okafor said Wednesday when asked how he felt that the team declined to pick up his option.  "Honestly, I did not want them to pick up my option," said Okafor. "I’m just in a position to where how can I just get on the court. That's not happening here. And I want to play."
