With the 2016 NFL Draft in the books the conversation turns to how these new players will impact the Eagles this coming season.  Scott Wright of DraftCountdown.com was a guest on The Sports Bash on Monday and said his key draft selection by Philadelphia was in the Offensive Lineman from Oregon State:

"I think the key guy is (Isaac) Seumalo because they just had a desperate need on interior of the (Offensive) Line. They made some roster moves last offseason that did not work out and really created an issue on the interior. Seumalo is a player who can play Guard or Center, gives you a lot of versatility on the interior and I think that was right about where he was expected to come off the board. So that was a good pick."

Wright went on to discuss the potential impact of the 2015 Big 12 Leading Rusher on the Eagles and NFL:

"He's not overly big, he's only like 5'10" a little over 200 lbs but i think he runs bigger. He'll pound it in between the tackle a little bit and he's probably going to end up being more of a change of pace type in the NFL, that situational third down Running Back. But he's one of those guys that if he gets an opportunity, you never know because we've seen so many times over the years, people doubted Maurice Jones-Drew 'Oh he's small to be an every down back', Lesean McCoy, all these guys and they got their opportunity. So with the Running Back position it's as much about opportunity as it is talent but Smallwood, he was expected to be a mid-round pick, that was about the range he was expected to come off the board. So value wise it was a good pick and he'll prove some youth and depth in that backfield."
