The Eagles signed have offensive guard Wade Smith.

Smith, 33, a 16-game starter each of the past four seasons for the Texans, Smith provides depth with the Eagles missing four of their top seven offensive linemen.

Smith signed with the Seahawks this offseason but was released before the start of the season.  The fact that he couldn't even make it to final cuts is a sign he's near the end, he was graded out as one of the worst guards last season by Pro Football Focus.

The move was made to add some depth to the Eagles offensive line that has lost guard Evan Mathis for a an extended period of time and tackle Allen Barbre potentially for the season.
