Needing more depth and help at linebacker, the Eagles signed 31-year old veteran Stephen Tulloch to a one-year deal worth up to $3 million, including $1.75 million guaranteed according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Eagles head coach Doug Pederson admitted on Saturday that the tea was looking to add to the position, especially after losing Joe Walker to a ACL injury.

"Obviously, that’s been a spot that we’ve looked at all offseason and also in training camp," Pederson admitted. "I know [Eagles executive vice president of football operations] Howie [Roseman] and his team are out there looking, and with the loss now to Joe, obviously something is going to have to be done."

recently reported that the Eagles were in heavy negotiations with Tulloch, now it looks like the reports will become a reality.

Did Tulloch come here to be a back-up and how will he fit in with the team?

The 31-year-old 5-foot-11, 246-pound Tulloch entered the 2006 NFL season with the Tennesee Titans as a fourth round pick out of Tennessee and has been a steady run defender since, including last season, when he started all 16 games, racking up 108 total tackles, one sack, and two fumble recoveries.

The current linebacker core has Jordan Hicks, Nigel Bradham and Mychal Kendricks as the starters, but the arrival of Tulloch could kick Hicks to the outside to compete with Kendricks on the weak-side.
