The Eagles defense gave up 21 points in the 1st half to the Lions offense after only allowing 27 points in the previous three games combined.  Although they made adjustments at halftime and only allowed 3 points in the 2nd half, there may now be a blueprint on how to expose Jim Schwartz's defense.

ESPN.com NFL Insider KC Joyner was a guest on The Sports Bash on Monday discussed how the Lions exposed the Eagles defense to score 21 points:

"They did find a weakness in attacking on the perimeter; on rushing plays they really went after the Eagles on the perimeter they were doing Jet Sweeps, they were doing Regular Sweeps, a lot of things to get to the outside....Not only that it takes away Fletcher Cox, it's a great way to not have to worry about Fletcher Cox if you can go to the outside and you can start getting these perimeter plays and you can start attacking them on the outside.  If you can start doing that and then now your Corners and now your Outside Linebackers and other players are going to have to stop things...You got to force teams to try to go up the gut because if they can take Fletcher Cox out of your Rush Gameplan that easily, it's a really big issue for the Eagles."
