New Jersey’s Best Farm-To-Table Restaurant You Must Try Is Among America’s Finest
New Jersey's Best Farm-To-Table Restaurant
It's not only a productive way to grow food it is a healthy way to eat so everyone benefits from "farm to table" operations. The old expression "you are what you eat" is so true, so eating fresh (chemical free) produce is a plus for everyone.

During the growing season, my wife, April, has a robust backyard garden and all our vegetables (and some fruit) come from her garden right to our table. Not only that, but a lot of her crop gets canned for eating throughout the year. There is nothing better than fresh from the vine Jersey Tomatoes, and with several different varieties, we have fresh "garden to table" tomatoes all year. In addition, cucumbers, peas, asparagus, squash, grapes, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries (fingers crossed), peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, onions, potatoes, figs, artichokes, okra, radishes, beets, turnips, carrots, watermelon, cantalope, lima beans, etc. So we hopefully will have a great "garden to table" crop. Do you have a backyard garden?
So on this theme, author Karlina Valeiko did an article for Lovefood on the topic of "Every State's Best Farm-To-Table Restaurant You Must Try". According to her piece "So much more than a passing trend, farm-to-table eating has soared in popularity over the past decade, as diners become increasingly interested in sustainability. Prioritizing local, seasonal, and organic produce, these restaurants are pioneers of the farm-to-fork concept, offering delicious dishes made with exceptionally fresh ingredients. Here, we look at the best in every state, from rustic mom-and-pop spots to bucket-list restaurants with a cult following."
So we are known as the "Garden State" in New Jersey so our choice for best "Farm to Table Restaurant" should be a great one and one of America's best! According to Lovefood, Brick Farm Tavern in Hopewell is the BEST in New Jersey.
Lovefood says "Situated at the heart of Double Brook Farm's sprawling 800 acres, Brick Farm Tavern stands out as one of the most authentic pasture-to-table destinations out there. Set inside a beautifully restored 1820s farmhouse, the eatery offers a unique fine-dining experience, just steps from the farm’s working barns and fields. Highlights from the menu include house made penne with vegetables, seasonal empanadas, and a farm sausage platter."
Looks like we will be heading to Mercer County to check out the fantastic Brick Farm Tavern.
