NJ Christmas Spirit Among Best in the Country
A new survey by the site wisevoter.com has New Jersey ranked number nine in the country when it comes to Christmas spirit.
So how does one determine who has the most Christmas spirit?
According to the site,
The overall Holiday Spirit for Christmas ranking is determined by factors such as search trends for different holiday terms, the rate of holiday shopping on Google, and the results of the survey of 1,000 Americans.
I'm not so sure how scientific this survey is, but it's fun to consider.
I mean we do seem to have a lot of Christmas spirit.
Have you ever spent an evening in Cape May during the holiday season?
It's like you've entered a Hallmark Christmas movie.
And have you ever taken a stroll on one of the boardwalks in our state around holiday time?
It can be very romantic.
Add some snow, and it can be pretty awesome.
According to the survey, people in New Jersey have a holiday spending budget of $2051.17, which is 5th most in the country.
The survey found that people in Maryland have the highest budget at over $2700, and West Virginia with a budget of $355, is ranked last.
Overall, New Hampshire is said to have the most Christmas spirit in the country, while Washington, DC is dead last.
Overall, the 5 states with the most Christmas spirit are,
🎅 New Hampshire
🎅 Wisconsin
🎅 Utah
🎅 West Virginia
🎅 Pennsylvania
Just because someone has a small Christmas budget, that doesn't mean they lack spirit.
West Virginia, for example, spends the least but ranks number 4 overall.
